Bleeding between the teeth is often the first sign that those hidden spaces need cleaning more effectively.
After a career including 40 years of helping people with bleeding gums and periodontal disease I want to pass my methods on to you. I’m Maggie Jackson, a retired Dental Hygienist.
Why does it happen?
An ordinary toothbrush can only clean the front, back and biting surfaces of your teeth. It cannot clean under the contact point between the teeth and the gum tip, where plaque collects and bleeding often begins.
Who is VisionPerio for?
Your teeth may still be tightly together at the contact point. VisionPerio is designed to clean the interdental space beneath the contact point, where undisturbed the debris causes inflammation, bleeding and eventually bone loss. – Periodontitis.
The first sign may simply be that you become aware that the gum between your teeth bleeds, and so far, nothing seems to stop it happening.
How do I use VisionPerio?

- Hold the tip of the bristle head between your thumb and first finger.
- Keeping your fingers close to your teeth as entering, that way, the brush tip will give gentle, precise control.
- Guide the curved brush gently under the contact point between the teeth and against the tip of the gum.
- Use a gentle “in, in, in” movement to pass most of the bristle on the brush through.
- The brush should feel snug with some pressure. Never force it into a space that is too tight.
- Follow the curve of the brush, slightly compressing the gum, curving downwards between the upper teeth and curving upwards between the lower teeth. Withdraw the brush following the same curve.
Which size do I need?

Every space between your teeth is different.
VisionPerio is available in six colour-coded sizes so that each interdental space can be cleaned with a brush that fits snugly with some pressure.
Choose the largest brush that will pass through the space. It should not feel loose, and it should never be forced into a space.
Start with the VisionPerio Starter Pack – Order yours today!

Start with the green brush. It is the size that suits most people and is our most frequently used brush.
Try the green brush in between your upper back teeth first. Then different spaces round your mouth.
If it feels too loose, try the next larger size. If it is too tight, try the next smaller size.
Remember, the correct brush fits snugly with some pressure. It should never be forced. You may want to rinse any blood or debris off the brush the first few times-it will get less.
Keep your starter pack. Once you know which sizes fit each space, refill packs are the most economical way to replace only the brushes you use.
